Eugenia mize

COUNSEL

Eugenia Mize is Counsel at DCH Law LLP. Her practice covers a wide range of commercial transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with an emphasis on renewable energy, including project development, procurement, construction and operation, and mergers and acquisitions involving wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

Prior to joining DCH Law LLP, Eugenia served as Deputy General Counsel at Blue Ridge Power, a solar engineering, procurement, and construction company based in North Carolina. Eugenia also served as Director of Global Strategic Sourcing at the AES Corporation, Director for NextEra Energy Resources’ Integrated Supply Chain, as well as a Senior Attorney, supporting NextEra’s utility-scale and distributed generation teams with respect to all stages of project development. Eugenia also previously practiced as an attorney with the Energy & Natural Resources Group of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, representing commercial and government clients in large scale energy and infrastructure transactions in North and South America, including engineering, procurement and construction and equipment supply negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and project development matters.

Prior to her time at Blue Ridge Power, AES, NextEra, and Squire Patton Boggs, Eugenia was an in-house counsel with the Power and Gas Division at Siemens Energy, leading contract negotiations of engineering, procurement and construction contracts, equipment supply contracts, joint venture agreements, and development funding arrangements with commercial and government clients worldwide.

Eugenia received her B.A. from Rollins College and her J.D. from the University of Florida. She is licensed to practice in Washington D.C. and Florida.

Eugenia lives in Winter Park, FL with her husband and miniature schnauzer, Bunny. In her free time, she likes to travel, read, and explore new restaurants.
